Two turtles.

Two turtles were crossing a road in the desert. One turtle called to the other, who was several feet ahead, “Slow down. If you spend your life rushing around, you won’t notice the subtle, meaningful things that make life worth living.”

“Hurry up,” responded the other to the laggard. “Life should be filled with ambition and activity. Without urgency, you’ll come regret your empty life at the end of your days.”

Just then, a boy of four years walked by and flipped both turtles over onto their shells, then ran off in laughter.

“You know,” said the first turtle, after they had been rocking on their backs for over an hour, “I think happiness is really just determined by some shitty kid in the desert.”
