They came across a massive hole in the ground only a meter across but they couldn't see the bottom through the blackness. One of them picked up a rock and tossed it in, they leaned in close to listen for it to hit the bottom, to their astonishment they never heard the rock hit anything. So the other kid grabbed a huge stone that he could barely pick up and threw it in, they thought for sure they would here this crash against the bottom, they listened as it fell, silently they stood for over a minute, nothing. Finally they saw a massive log off a little ways, they drug it to the edge of the seemingly endless abyss and tossed it in. They pondered for a moment when they didn't here it hit the bottom, then they heard something. What sounded like a child screaming off in the distance, just then a crazed goat came charging out of the woods straight towards them. The boys dove to the side as the goat raced between them and straight down the hole in the ground. The boys couldn't leave fast enough as they thought certainly the place was possessed. Down the path a ways a poor farmer stopped them and asked if they had seen a goat, they said they had, and explained what it did. Puzzled the farmer sat for a moment then said, "that couldn't have been my goat". The boys asked why? The farmer said "well my goat was tied up to a big old log"
