[Meta] Joke reposts

First off here's a joke: Why did the chicken cross the road? To make sure someone knew that they were telling a joke that wasn't original.

Now for a small rant. Why do we still complain about reposts? Jokes are meant to be passed around and retold. Some people may miss a joke that was told a week or two ago. Their day could be brightened by seeing a repost of the joke they missed. Please stop taking jokes too seriously. This is supposed to be a lighthearted subreddit. Thank you.

Now for a joke my 14 year old cousin told me: What do you call Sadam Hussein putting potato chips on his penis?
