House Sitting

A man's neighbor was going out of town and asked the man to watch his house. The man agreed and the neighbor went on his trip. There was a huge storm and after it was over, the man decided to check on his neighbors house. He looks all around the inside and the outside of the house but doesn't find any damage. As the man is returning to his house, he notices that his backyard gate is open. Fearing that his dog got out, the man checks his backyard and finds his dog dragging the neighbors rabbit through the mud. The man takes the rabbit from his dog and brings it inside to wash it up. After the man finishes washing it, he realizes it is dead. The man takes the rabbit and puts it back in the pen in the neighbors back yard. A few days after the neighbors return, the man and the neighbor are chatting on the mans front porch. The man asks" How did your trip go, and also was your home fine when you returned?" The neighbor replied "The trip was good and our home was fine but something strange happened." "What happened?" asked the man. "Well, before we went on vacation our rabbit died and we had to bury it but when we got back, the damn thing was back in its cage and it smelled like soap."
