For some context, I have an acquaintance from college who suffers from debilitating schizophrenia. None of what he posts on Facebook makes sense, though he does paint some beautiful pictures.
Today he posted this joke, accompanied by a slightly abstract watercolor picture of a crawdad eating a dead bird. Q: "What is the difference between a crawdad and a dead crow?" A: "It's a matter of life and death."
Is there a layer of meaning to this (other than the fact that "crawdad" and "dead crow" sound similar, and one is dead while the other is not)? Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but it's the most coherent thing I've seen him post in a long time.
