Hey all, my boss is putting together an experimental program where they pay funny people to sort of be "on retainer" for quick-hitting on-topic humorous tweets. It's a paid deal, so please read on if you're interested. Hopefully this isn't against the sub's rules, I didn't see anything in the sidebar that seemed contradictory ...

Crowd sourcing is one of the modern marvels of our age. It has been applied to a bevy of difference disciplines. One area that hasn’t been extensively explored is using the crowd to source ideas for businesses to tweet as new events unfold.

It is called “real time marketing” and the idea is that in the world things are always happening and there is an expectation that brands will comment on all of this in the social world in a relatively speedy manner.

**We are looking for a couple of dozen funny creative people to test this out. Here is how it works:**

* You indicate your interest and we send you a brief style guide and some test current events paired with brand names to see how you think.
* If invited, you join the program and provide us with your cell phone number and cell provider.
* From July 1 to Aug 31, you will receive between zero and two SMS messages every day with an event (So and so did such and such) and a brand (ESPN or IBM or whomever).
* We ask that you try to come up with a clever tweet in the few minutes that follow. It isn’t necessary that you answer ALL of them, but we are asking everyone to answer at least half of them.
* You may or may not see your tweet, or a variant of it, used to Twitter.
* Assuming this all works, you may be invited to continue your participation if the actual product launches.

***At the end of the test, after Aug 31, you will receive a one-time payment of $500 for your effort.***
