A priest and his buddy are having a shooting competition down at the range...

The priest went first. He aimed his rifle and shot at the target, hitting a perfect bullseye. His friend went next, aimed, and fired way off course, missing the target completely. He angrily exclaims, "Shit, I missed!"

The priest, upon hearing this, warns his friend, telling him "You better watch your mouth, or else you'll suffer the wrath of the Lord!"

His friend, not being a religious man himself, shrugs off the priest's warning, saying "I don't believe in any of that, and I'll say what I want to say. Now if you'd like to continue, it's your turn."

The priest sighs, but says nothing. He takes aim and fires at the target again, hitting another bullseye. His friend then takes his turn, and misses wildly again. "Jesus Christ, I missed again!"

The priest gives his friend another warning. He tells his friend "Please watch your mouth! One more time, and you will suffer the consequences!"

His triend shrugged him off again, asserting that he can say whatever he wants to say. Getting angry at his inability to hit the target, he says to the priest "Okay, this round, it's double or nothing. It's your turn."

The priest is slightly taken aback by his friend's sudden assertiveness, and being distracted, takes his shot at the target, but only hits the outer ring.

His friend sees his chance to take the lead, and carefully aims and fires again. For the third time, his bullet sails over the target, missing it completely. He starts screaming "God fucking damn it! How the hell can I not hit this goddamn target!?!?"

The priest, is shocked by this performance, but manages to keep his composure, and tells his friend "Well that's it I guess, don't say I didn't warn you."

At this point, it starts pouring rain, and a lightening bolt comes down and strikes the priest, killing him instantly.

Then, after a second, the priest's friend hears a huge, booming voice saying **"Jesus Christ, I missed!"**
