A chap starts reading /r/jokes and while there were some good jokes there, could not understand why many of the comments were just numbers.
One particular joke about Congress had very high numbers from many different redditors and he posted asking what was going on.
"Well", one redditor replied, "instead of saying repost, down voting or such like, we just comment with the number each redditor has seen that particular joke reposted in the last seven days"
