In 2011, the city of Toronto played host to a massive family reunion unlike any seen before. All Chinese-Americans and Chinese-Canadians with the surname Wong were invited to meet distant relatives and celebrate their heritage. Over 1000 people were set to attend this well-publicized event.
One couple arrived late to the event and got a little turned around in an unfamiliar city. They showed up at what they thought was the event, but it turned out to be a different family reunion for everyone with the surname White.
When they asked if they could come in, they were unfortunately turned away because two Wongs don't make a White.
