Some time ago I was the director of a play, and we had several barricades on the stage. There was the szene where the main actor had to jump from one to another in order to act as if he was escaping from somebody. So before the premiere I told him to not fall out of his role and to keep acting.
Then the szene came. The main actor jumped on the first barricade and it broke down under his wheight. The actor fell to the ground and I could see the pain in his face but he got up again, pretending as if nothing had happend. He jumped on the second barricade an it too collapsed. With tears in his eyes he stood up and keept on acting. When he set foot on the third barricade it broke aswell, and he fell down to the floor, while twisting his arm in a very painful manner. But he still arose and ran towards the next barricade. with a loud cracking noise it cracked in to parts and the actor, falling to the floor and hitting his head. with blood running from his nose he faced the audience looking directly at me ,sittng in the first row, and whining:
I´m so sorry for breaking the forth wall...
