Seamus was good at a lot of things, except working. Fed up with her freeloading son, Seamus' mom said that he had to get a job, and arranged an interview for him at the city hall in Dublin. So, on his way to the interview, Seamus decided to stop to have a pint or two for courage. Before he knew it, hours had passed and he had but fifteen minutes to get from the pub to downtown Dublin. He drove like a banshee and made it to the city hall with a minute to spare, but, as he circled the building, he realized there were no parking spots. Desperate, Seamus looked up to the heavens and prayed like he'd never prayed before. "Dear Jesus, Lord God, have mercy on this sinner, for a need a parking spot so that I might get a job and not be thrown to the curb by my dear old mom. I swear that if you answer this simple request I'll do anything. I'll never gamble, or swear again, and I'll even give up drinking." No sooner had the prayer left his lips, then the clouds above parted and a brilliant ray of sunlight fell up on the car parked directly ahead of him. As soon as the ray of sun hit the car, it started backing out of the spot. Seamus smiled from ear to ear, saying, "Never mind, my Lord, a spot just opened up!"
