Some gay couples are better off than straight couples.

I read this study recently that showed that certain gay couples are better off than straight couples, while other gay couples are worse off. For example, since men are the highest earning in the country on average, two gay men cohabitating will have a higher combined wage than a hetero couple, with one man and one woman. Two gay women will make the lowest earning wages combined on average, which puts them in a worse position financially, but then you've got to add on top of that how often they eat out...
