Saint Peter isn't feeling too hot.

He's been sick for ages, and the line at the Pearly Gates stretches out as far as the eye can see. One day, Jesus comes by and asks him how he's doing. "Oh Jesus, I can't take it anymore, I mean, people die like every second, and I'm working by myself and doing all the paperwork, and I haven't had a break in a few thousand years!" So Jesus tells him to relax, to go take some time off, and he'll cover for him. For the next few days, Jesus sits at St. Peter's desk and questions people wanting to come in, one by one. He is actually going at a pretty quick pace, when suddenly, a very familiar looking older man with a grey beard and mustache approaches the desk. Jesus could swear he has seen this man before, but just can't place him. "Hello, old man", he says. "Before I can let you in, I have to ask you a few questions. Tell me, what did you do for a living?" The old man responds, "I was a carpenter." Jesus suddenly feels a pang of comprehension, but decides to question the old man further. "I see... and tell me, did you have any children... a son, perhaps?" At this, the old man excitedly replies, "Oh yes, I had a son, but he was not my own... he was created by a higher power, and actually became quite famous, known throughout the world for his goodness and honesty." At this, Jesus becomes quite emotional, and getting up, he embraces the old man and cries, "Father!" And the old man, also emotional replies, "Pinocchio!!"
