Prom needed to be perfect...

And it shaping up to be just that for Johnny.
He was going to prom with the prettiest girl in school and it would be a night to remember, he just had to do a few things beforehand.

Johnny went to get his tuxedo first and found the perfect tux, so he went to get it fitted. He waited in this enormous line for it and waited and waited and waited. He kept waiting and waited some more until he was fitted and paid for the suit.

Next was flowers, so Johnny picked out a lovely bouquet and stood in the checkout line, but it was oddly long so he was forced to wait and wait and wait and wait in this terrible line. He continued to wait. Finally the line came to his turn and he bought the flowers and headed out.

Last on his list was the limo, so he went to the Limousine Rental and found there to be a huge line there, as well, so he waited and waited and waited for almost a half hour. After waiting in this terribly long line, he finally got the limo and everything was sorted out for prom.

Pictures and everything go well, and they arrive at the dance and are having the time of their lives. Then Johnny's date asks him "hey can you go grab me some punch I'm so thirsty" so he walks over to the table for the drinks and approaches it and what do you know?...

No punch line.
