Polish joke

So a french man, an Italian and a pole are in a race across the desert and they are each allowed to bring one thing with them. At the end of the race a reporter interviews each one
The Italian finished first and the reporter asked him "what did you bring with you and how did it help you?" And he said "I brought a bottle of ice water which I drank when I got thirsty"
The Frenchman was next and the reporter asked him the same question and the Frenchman replied "I brought this wet rag to put around my neck to cool me down"
The pole finished last and the reporter asked him the same question to which he replied "I brought this car door and when I got hot I rolled down the window"
