It's like they are trying to keep their laughs back to come across intelligent. Than they just start to keep focussing on the meme instead of just enjoying and really showing their own laughter and they completely leave that part out. Their most outreached way of showing laughter is LOL or lmao. However laughing is healthy and supports your intelligence in whatever form you express it and it is a sign of intelligence. But you really should express it though.
