Akello is a 9 year old boy living in Uganda. He has a swollen eye, a club foot and a broken arm. Each day, Akello has to ride 7 miles to school along a narrow road on a rusty bike with bent wheels and no brakes. His mother is mentally ill and cannot help, and his father recently died from HIV. Every day is a struggle for this crippled child.
