So these two guys were at a comedy club and this really bad comedian was telling some very poorly written jokes that were really drawn out, not funny, and didn't really make sense. One of the guys look back and sees a punch bowl with no one around it and says to the other guy "hey do you want to go get some punch from the punch bowl with me? This is a bad joke and there is no punch line."
