A sailor, an Airman, and a Soldier die and go to Heaven....

They arrive at the pearly gates and begin arguing amongst themselves about who should be allowed in to Heaven and who shouldn't.

The Navy man says "If we didn't give you guys a ride, you would have never gotten anywhere. I should get in."

The Airman says "If we hadn't carpet bombed the beaches, the soldiers would have been slaughtered. I should get in."

The Army soldier argues "If we had not stormed the beach, engaged the enemy and held our objective, the whole damn war would have been lost. I should get in."

Saint Peter arrives and they ask him to decide who should get in. He listens to their arguments and tells them that he does not have jurisdiction to make such a decision but that he will write a letter to God with their arguments and let him decide.

The next day, a letter arrived from God. It reads:

"To all who have served honorably in their chosen careers and performed their duties to the best of their abilities, enter into my kingdom and enjoy everlasting life with me.

Signed,
God
