A dying tree walks into bar and asks the bartender for a drink of water. The bartender complies, and the tree leaves. A few months later the tree, dying again, returns, asking for water. The bartender give the tree some water and the tree leaves. This happens over and over for many, many years, many generations of bartenders: the same dying tree comes in, asks for water, bartender gives the tree some water, and the tree leaves ... until one day the tree is too large to fit in the bar, is unable to ask for water, and is unable to leave and so dies.
