Two Mississippi carpenters

are building a house, the lead carpenter on one end, and his apprentice on the other. After a while the lead carpenter hears a ting ta ting. Then he hears it again, and again, and again. Curious, he heads to the other side of the house to see if his apprentice hears it too. When he comes up on the other side of the house, he is shocked to see his apprentice throwing nails away as he is working. He yells at the apprentice, “What are you doing, man? Those nails cost money!” The apprentice calmly replies, “Half of these nails are no good, the head is on the wrong end”. The lead carpenter screams, “You idiot, the head isn’t on the wrong end, those are the nails for the other side of the house!”
