Three tired travelers stumble across a farm as it is beginning to get dark. Exhausted, they decide to stop and ask if there is a place to sleep until morning. A friendly farmer answers the door and says they can sleep in the barn under one circumstance: Nobody is allowed to go up in the loft. The travelers say that is a simple enough request and head to the barn for some much needed sleep.

After an hour of restlessness, the travelers realize they cannot find anywhere comfortable to sleep. They see up in the loft there are piles of hay which look heavenly to sleep upon. One of the men says, “I really need to sleep and there is no way he will ever know we went up there. We should just go.” All three climb up into the loft and are asleep in no time.

A few short hours later, they wake up with the farmer standing above them with a shotgun. He says, “I gave you one rule and you broke it. I shall kill you all now.” In terror, the travelers exclaim that they will do anything for the man to make up for their actions. He says, “Fine. For me to spare you, you must go into the woods and return for more instructions with a fruit or vegetable.”

Relieved, the three men set out and within no time, the first traveler comes back with a peach. The farmer tells him that he must stick it up his butt without laughing. If he is able to do that, he goes free. The man begins and is quickly tickled by the peach fuzz and begins to giggle. BOOM! He is shot dead.

The second traveler comes back with a single pea. He goes to the farmer and gets the same instructions. He begins and all is going well when he begins to laugh uncontrollably. BOOM! He is shot dead.

Up in heaven, the first traveler says, “What the hell man, all you had was a pea.” The second traveler says, “Yeah, I know. But I saw Jeff walking back with a pineapple.”
