An electrical, mechanical, and civil engineer are at dinner and begin to debate which discipline would be most capable of designing the human body. The electrical engineer immediately pipes up and to state why his discipline is well suited for the job. Seeing as the neurological system behaves similar to electric circuitry, it's quite obvious that the EE's were most apt.
The mechanical engineer scoffs and immediately challenges the EE, saying that the mechE's are the clearly the most capable engineers to build a human body. The characteristics of the musculoskeletal system are nearly identical to the day to day work of many mechE's. This would clearly be in their bailiwick.
Not one to stand by idly, the civil engineer begins to pitch his defense. He speaks of the vascular system, the pores, glands and ducts, but he then hesitates and ponders something. While he states that he believes the civil engineers would be most competent to design a human body, there are several classic flaws to the current design that no competent PE would make. For starters a civil engineer worth their salt would never, ever put a toxic disposal site adjacent to a playground.
