A tourist is trying to find his way around in Gujarat. "Is this the way to the Shiva temple?" he asks a local.
"Howay" says the local.
Persistent, he finds another local and ask "Is this the way to the Shiva temple?"
"Howay" says the other local, unhelpfully.
He decides to try a third time, and asks the same question of another local.
"Yes!" replies the local. The tourist is relieved and happy. "But tell me what are those other people saying 'howay' for?"
"'howay' means yes, but only uneducated speak like that." says the local.
"Oh so you are educated?"
"Howay".
