A long time ago in Italy, there was a street magician who performed tricks with his young servant boy. In order to draw larger crowds, the magician relied heavily on the shocking 'sawn-in-half' trick; the grand finale being that his young servant was indeed alright.
One day, a university student happened upon the magician's act, and became deeply concerned for the boy's health. He seemed emaciated, had bruises, and seemed terrified of his master. The student decided to alert the authorities. Upon examining the child, they uncovered evidence of sexual assault. The magician was arrested and interrogated. When asked the charge against him, he was told "sodomy".
"Sawed-a-YOU? No, no, I only sawed-a the boy!"
