So everybody know about King Arthur and the knights of the round table, but not everybody has heard about the Silent Knight of the round table. Here is a tale to tell:
A couple years after the round table was established the King went on another campaign. But there is a problem: he has a beautiful wife and he can't afford to leave her undefended in the castle right? Arthur chose from his personal army, 12 of his strongest, best looking and most trusted knights to stay behind and defend his castle and his wife.
Now here comes the tricky part. In the middle ages there was no such thing as surveillance camera and there is no way to prevent his wife from cheating. In order to keep his wife untouched the king also ordered a custom made chastity belt. It is no ordinary chastity belt, it is a trapped chastity belt!
You see, ordinary chastity belt is made to prevent entry, but the queen's chastity belt was equipped with a guillotine. It permits entry, and then it'll chop off whatever that tries to get out. The king locks the belt, and went on his crusade.
Months after months of fighting, freeing slaves and doing justice, the king finally returns home, to see his beautiful wife. That night when the king unlocked the belt, he found that the guillotine was used quite a few times.
Furious, the king stormed out into the grounds, demanded the 12 knights to confess whom remained silent. Furious, he ordered the knights to take off their leggings RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. All the knights took off their pants. All but one of their knights have had their manhood chopped off. The king ordered all 11 injured knights to the gallows. He promised the cheating knights a slow and painful death and the last of his faithful, royal knight an appropriate reward.
"Speak knight" said King Arthur. "How should I reward thee for thy faithful service? I can give thee mountains of gold, a hundred virgin girls, or half the land of my kingdom. Speak! And receive thy reward!"
The knight kept his mouth shut tight. He shook his head, and walked away, refusing the handsome reward the king promised, in tears.
And hence began the tale of the silent knight, who never opened his mouth in public, especially in front of the king.
