A true story ...
The setting: My (now ex) wife and I stopped at a bar after a marriage counseling session to talk more on our own. We were in counseling because a few months ago my wife's years of secret affairs had come to light. I was trying to somehow "save" the marriage.
The joke: A handsome bartender came over to take our order. My wife asked for some kind of drink straight up. She paused, then added “THE SAME WAY I LIKE MY MEN.” (said with a big laugh and smile to the bartender).
Hmm ... remarkable. Under the guise of a joke she was able to show disrespect for me as well as how little she thought of our marriage counseling sessions. ... BUT dammit, it was also perversely funny.
