A cucumber is walking down the street one day thinking about how precious life is. Through his thinking, he got saddened at the thought that his life could end at any time- cucumbers don't have long shelf life, after all. He began crying uncontrollably and looking for any way to avoid the inevitable. Then suddenly the devil appeared before him.
The devil said "Son, why are you crying like this?"
To which the cucumber replied "I am just so scared of dying. I don't feel like I have much longer. I would do anything to live longer."
The devil then asked, "You would do ANYTHING? If so, I think I can help you out. It will only cost your soul."
Cucumber responded, "My soul!? Well- I suppose I could handle that. I don't have much of a soul to begin with. Anything to make me live longer I guess.... So sure! Please help me."
So the devil responded, "Well then, it looks like we have a dill."
