The first explorers of Canada

When the first explorers of the new world stepped foot on this great land they were presented the task of naming it.

Since no-one had any previous experience naming a new land they came up with the compromise of putting all the letter of the alphabet into a hat, whatever the hat spelled they would name the land that.

*The first letter was pulled*

"It's a 'C', eh."

*The second letter was pulled*

"It's an 'N', eh."

*Finally the last letter was pulled*

"It's an 'D', eh."

The listeners jotted down the new world's name and proclaimed

**The New Land shall be called CANADA!**
