Abdul Hamid,a Syrian Refugee got asylum to USA and came along with his family and was given a government housing. The next morning,he went to local SSA office and got the benefit checks..He stopped by a local halal shop and bought some mutton...He decided to call his mom
"Hi Mum, guess what?" he says. "I got the checks ...USA is great...The people here are very friendly ..I bought some lamb for dinner ".
"Great," says his Mum, "let me tell you about my day. Your father got shot in the street, your sister was raped and I was attacked and beaten while shopping, and your brother has joined a gang of looters, while you were out to get the checks".
The young lad is very upset. "What can I say Mum, I'm so sorry."
"Sorry?" says his Mum "We were so happy in Syria,Its your bloody fault we moved to DETROIT in the first place!"
