A convict, Sneaky Steve escapes from prison, changes his identity and changes his appearance. He needs money, and visits a local theatre who are employing actors for Cinderella. He auditions and gets the part of the prince and immediately becomes one of the standout members of the cast. Every time they performed the play, the audience were amazed at how convincing Sneaky Steve was as the prince and there was one person, a regular, who began taking note of his amazing performances.
One night, just as he was about to come on, the regular, who was in fact a cop, comes back stage and arrests Sneaky Steve. The rest of the cast look bewildered and the director comes towards him and says, "Hey, what are you doing with my standout performer?"
"It's Sneaky Steve, the escaped convict" the police officer replied and showed the director a photo.
"Wow" the director replied, "That's amazing. I have to ask you though, how did you know it was him? He's changed his appearance and changed his identity so I'm curious."
"Well" the cop said, "I've been here to watch this play a few times, and each time, he stole the show."
