I understand this might be the wrong sub to ask this, but I figured /r/jokes would be able to help me.
I'm looking for a specific type of joke or style of comedy that focuses on explaining the joke in a removed and almost satirical manner. The original joke doesn't even have to be that funny, the focus is the emotionless explanation of it afterward (i.e. why it should be funny from a societal standpoint, how it uses different societal tropes, breaking it down from a psychological perspective, etc.). I feel like it is more common among students or professors commenting on the analytical nature of academia.
