"I can't believe what the school board is trying to do! I've worked hard to get ahead for 20 years now and they never cease to amaze me how petty they can be!"
I asked what was the matter and did they not give her the promotion to run the school.
"Yes, I got the promotion. The raise, the parking spot closest to the door. Even an extra week vacation."
I'm thinking this sounds great. More money is always good. And an extra week off makes vacation planning so much easier.
"So, it sounds like it's everything you wanted. You're now head of the school, something you've wanted for a long time."
"It's NOT everything. I don't get the title I wanted. They couldn't let me have it. They just had to twist the knife. My title is Senior Administrator." she hissed.
"Well, that does seem a bit strange. But really, you know what you are. So what does it matter?"
"It's the Principal of the matter!"
