I used to know a family named Dougherty. Every time they were going traveling, they would calmly go through the kitchen and smash all the plates, cups and bowls, then cheerily sweep up the mess. I asked them why they did this, and Mr. Dougherty said "I don't want to come home to a house full of Dougherty dishes!"
