This legitimately happened today while I was ringing out customers at work.
I was checking the customers out at the register. They got some flowers, olives in a glass jar, bologna, bread, milk, and some bottled water. Near the end of the transaction the customer dropped a bag that sounded like a glass jar broke. I looked down and said "oh no, did you drop your glass?", they replied "no it was just the lunch meat". I said to them, "sounds like a bunch of bolonga".
We both started to crack up laughing. That was one of the most corny jokes I've ever probably told any customer....it was totally worth it.
