Kids going to prom

So there was kid that was going to prom with his high school girlfriend. They had been together since freshman year. He was captain of the football team; she was head of the cheer squad. So, about a week before senior prom, the kid is getting everything ready. He goes to rent a tuxedo from the tux shop, and there's a huge line. He waits and waits, and finally gets fitted for a tux. Then on to the flower shop. There's a long line there too. Again he waits, and finally it's his turn and he orders a corsage and boutonniere. Next, he goes to the restaurant where they will have prom dinner. There is a line and a long wait at the restaurant, but he finally is able to make the dinner reservations. After the restaurant, he has to go and rent a limousine for them to ride to prom in, you know, since all the cool kids are doing it. There is a long line at the limo rental place. He waits and waits, and finally it's his turn to rent a limousine.

After all this, the big day finally comes. He goes and picks up his tuxedo, and the flowers, and then the limo comes and gets him and he goes and picks up his girlfriend, and they go out to a lovely dinner. They make it to the dance, and his girlfriend turns to him and asks, "Honey, could you get me some punch?" So, he goes over to the concessions table, and there's no punchline.
