I answer the phone with a hearty hello.
The telemarketer speaks his spiel. I realize that this isn't a call pertaining to my business and immediately say,
>Press 2 to continue this call.
They hang up instantly.
[edit]I'm not putting this in lifeprotips because I find this funny that it works and if it's there, some telemarketer may spread my trick around with their mates.
