Hillbillies looking for a job

Two hillbilly friends decide that they are going to apply for a job at their local power company that was hiring. They walk in & tell the foreman that they are here for the job installing power poles. The foreman looks at them & asks how much time they have in that particular field? The two hillbillies tell him that they dont have any experience, all they have ever done is farm & drink beer. The foreman kinda chuckled & thought what the hell. He told them he was going to put them on a truck & see what they could do. He told them he was going to put them up against two other guys that are looking to get hired that have been working for another power company for years, whichever duo puts in the most poles that day gets the job. The hillbillies tell him theyre up for the challenge. He tells them to be there at 8am sharp the next morning.

The next morning both hillbillies & the other two guys show up, the foreman gives both groups a truck, posthole diggers & 20 poles then tells them they have until 5pm to get done. Both groups head out to their areas. At 5pm they all four come back to the power company & the foreman asks the other guys how many they got done & they said "all of them", he turned to the hillbillies & asked how many they got done? & they said "one & half". The foreman looked puzzled & said "how did you only get one & half done in 8hrs? The other guys got all of them done in 8 hrs." The hillbillies look at the foreman & said "well, they left almost all of the pole out the ground!"
