A young male med student wanted to get an accurate idea of what it felt like for a woman to give birth, so he went to the maternity ward and asked a young mother who had just experienced it to explain it to him.
"Open your mouth as wide as you can and using your hands, start pulling your lips apart as hard as you can," she said.
"Like this?" he asked.
"Yes, but you need to pull your lips even farther apart, I'll tell you when to stop" she replied.
The man kept stretching his mouth wider and wider until his lips started to split and bleed.
Finally, when it looked like he couldn't take it anymore she said, "That's far enough, now pull your lips up and back over your head."
