A family has a son who, due to an unfortunate accident in his youth, is now a disembodied head.
His mother and father take care of him year after year, trying to make his life as good as they can under the circumstances. Despite their efforts, however, their son is quite cynical and bitter about his position.
One day, the kid's mother gets a phone call from a doctor at the Mayo Clinic; he explains to her that he is pioneering a full-body transplant operation, and that her son is a prime candidate.
As it happens, he explains, they have a donor body ready to go, they just have to get the son out to Minnesota and the operation can happen immediately.
Naturally, the mother is ecstatic. This operation will give her child a new lease on life! She tells her husband the good news, and they agree to go and tell the kid right away.
She opens the door to his room and, as usual, finds him sitting on his bed. She says, excitedly:
"Honey, we have a surprise for you!"

"It better not be another fucking hat."
