A group of missionaries are traveling through Africa

A group of missionaries are traveling through rural Africa spreading the good news.One day, they find themselves in a town, and before long quite a crowd has gathered.

After preaching the virtues of Christianity for a while, they decide to demonstrate the amazing powers of the lord. "if anyone here is in need of divine assistance please step forward!"

A woman appears from the crowd holding her head "please help, i suffer from terrible headaches all the time"
The missionaries place their hands on her head and pray for her, with all their might. after this goes on for a while, they stop and ask the woman, "well, how do you feel?" "hallelujah" she cries, "The headache is gone!" the crowd gasps in awe!

A man then pushes his way to the front of the crowd, "Me next, please Sir" "Certainly!" they say, "What do we need to pray for?"
"My hearing please Sir!" he replies.
The Missionaries the put their hands on the man, one of them putting a finger in each ear.
They pray with all their might, saying the odd prayer and humming occasionally.
Eventually they relent, remove their fingers
from his ears and release the man. Anxiously they look at him and ask "Tell us, how is your hearing now??"
He replies "I Don't know Sir, its not until neXt week!"
