The babysitter has an uneventful evening at their house, but can't shake this awful feeling in the pit of her stomach. She goes downstairs to find a clown statue standing in the corner, and although she thinks it's an odd thing for a family to have in their house, she ignores it.
No matter how hard she tries, she can't shake the feeling that something is wrong. She puts the two children to bed a little early and calls the married couple to ease her worries. "Hey I'm sorry to bug you on your night out," she says, "I put the kids to bed already, and everything has gone pretty well. I'm just a little creeped out by the clown statue in the basement, would you mind if I cover it with a blanket?"
A long pause. Then the man says in a serious tone, "We don't have any kids. Get the clown statue and get out of the house."
